SHAKLEE - It is with a broken heart we announce on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, we lost Wandalee Coulter Allen Shaklee, a loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She passed away at the age of 96 in Jacksonville, Florida. We find peace knowing she is rejoicing in heaven with those who have gone before her. Wandalee was born on May 13, 1924 in Jefferson, OK to Thomas Coulter and Mabel Tedford. She was a 1942 graduate of Jefferson High School. She married John Vivian Allen, Jr in 1953. They moved to Warrensburg, MO where their four children were born. JV passed in 1967 at the young age of 46 and she moved back to Enid, OK. Several years later she married Morris Shaklee. She was a homemaker for many years until retiring from the Enid State School in 1994. Morris passed away in 2000 and she moved to Jacksonville, FL to be near her three daughters and four grandchildren. Wandalee was the matriarch of the family instilling strength and independence within us. We have conquered many obstacles within our family, and she always taught us to work things out, leaning on each other knowing that our love for one another will get us through. She loved spending time with her family and watching her grandkids and great grandkids grow. In later years she loved to feed the birds, ducks, and squirrels. Wandalee was known for her compassionate and empathetic spirit towards others, her beautiful smile, and her thoughtfulness. Wandalee was preceded in death by her father Thomas, mother Mabel, husband of her four children John Vivian Allen Jr., her 2nd husband Morris Shaklee, her brother Arthur Coulter, her sisters Bessie Quick, Vina Clepper, Leila Glick, Ruby Waibel, her oldest daughter Candace Allen, and many of her cousins and friends. She is survived by her son Sid Allen, her daughters Cathy Johnston and Tina Pressley. Her granddaughters Kimberlee Sellers (Chris) and Jessi Pressley. Her grandsons Dwight Johnston and Jonathan Allen (Amber). She is also survived by 4 great grandsons Landon Sellers, Cayden Sellers, Colton Sellers, and Julian Allen. She is survived by 3 nieces and nephews, 9 great nieces and nephews, and 18 great great nieces and nephews. Wandalee has longed of being buried in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Warrensburg, MO next to the father of her four children. A private graveside ceremony will be held once more plans have been made.
