Raymond Alan Hardin “Al”, 71, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on 01/08/2022 after a brief battle with cancer. Al was born on 11/07/1950 to Charles and Vera Hardin in the city of Connersville, IN. After graduating from Connersville High School in 1968, he obtained a degree in psychology from Ball State University Following graduation, Al joined the United States Military, serving in the Army, and then worked for over 40 years in the sales industry. He was particularly passionate about insurances sales and loved what he did for a living. Al had a huge heart for people – ALL people. He loved talking to individuals and learning their life stories. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a joke or two at the ready. Al was an active member of North Jacksonville Baptist Church. He loved history, especially maritime history, and travelling with his wife, Gerrie, on many adventures! Al was predeceased by his Mother and Father. He is survived by beloved wife Geraldine Hardin “Gerrie”, daughters Latonja Richardson, Deidre S. Richardson, Emilee Hardin, Karla S. Mack and Ashlee Hardin and his special friends Bernie Hamilton and Jerry Kelly. A Memorial will be held on Saturday 01/22/2022 at 2 pm in the Chapel at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home at 1426 Rowe Avenue Jacksonville, FL 32208.
