Orlando "Orly" H. Gutierrez

January 5, 1939 - February 2, 2022

Orlando "Orly" H. Gutierrez Sr. 83, born January 5, 1939. Born in Rosario, Cavite, Philippines. Entered into final rest on February 2nd, 2022. He was predeceased and now reunited with his loving wife of 53 years, Eileen J. Gutierrez, father, Vivencio P. Gutierrez, mother, Dominga A. Gutierrez, brothers, Arsenio H, Gutierrez, Antonio H. Gutierrez, and Jose H. Gutierrez, daughter, Donna Stone-Harman, son, Orlando “Roland” H. Gutierrez Jr., son, Robert “Bobby” A. Stone, and grandson “Lil” Jay Stone and many other loved ones. He is survived by sisters Teresita G. Diaz, Nenita G. Limboya, daughters: Tammie Sparks, Tamiko Gutierrez and Nenita Langley; sons: Jay Stone and Douglas Stone. 11 grandchildren: Tara Amante-Lingerfelt (Kyle), Josh McLane, Kristen Stone, Marcus Fulinara (Maddy), Laura Fulinara, Sierra Watkins, Heather McLeod (Josh), Matthew Gambrell, Jasmine Stone, Krystal Weber (Daniel), Madison Hart. 11 great grandchildren: Kyle, Zander, Evan, Jayla, Malani, Piper, Landen, Noah, Hunter, Liam, Inelle and a huge group of extended family and friends. Orly joined the United States Navy at 19. He proudly served our country for 20 years and earned his United States citizenship. After 20 years of active duty, he retired with disability and gave back to the community through volunteering at the American Legion and his catering business. Orly loved to feed everyone. He prepared many meals for our military as well as performing culinary miracles for friends and family. His culinary skills will be greatly missed. To all he touched in these and so many other ways, may the emptiness left in his absence be forever filled with the joy you felt in his presence. Although we are heartbroken by our loss, Orly would want each of us to laugh and enjoy a good meal together, celebrating his life. You are welcome to join family and friends in celebrating the wonderful life of Orly. A viewing will be held Thursday, February 10th, 2022 from 6-8 pm and funeral service will be held on Friday, February 11th, 2022 at 1 pm. Both will be held at the Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. Jacksonville FL 32211. The graveside service where he will be honored by the Navy Honor Guard for his many years of service following at Arlington Park Cemetery on Lonestar Rd. A reception will be held immediately afterward at one of Orly’s favorite places that holds so many memories over his lifetime, the American Legion # 283 at 9459 Ft Caroline Rd, Jacksonville FL 32225 until 5 pm. We will also have the funeral service virtually so everyone can celebrate Orly’s life. As Papa would say “Now, GO!”
