Michael Joseph Werner entered his eternal life on February 17th, 2022. He was born on October 14th, 1941 in Jacksonville, FL to Vincent and Vivian Werner. Michael was a devoted husband, caring brother, and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Married 50 years to his devout wife Jacqueline Werner, soulmate and prayer partner. They had two sons, Vincent (Kim), Jason (Leslie), and one daughter Lisa (Victor) Ravelo, 8 Grandchildren Terra, Trenton, Landry, Lawson, Laelia and 3 angels in heaven, Great Grandchild Adaline, numerous nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Vincent Werner, his mother, Vivian Werner, and his sister, Clare Bell. He is survived by his siblings, Andarlene Nesnick, Connie Brace, Mark Werner, and Andy Werner. Michael graduated from Bishop Kenny High School in 1959. He served in the Army National guard in the Aviation Company from 1963 – 1969. For 37 years he worked as superintendent for the City of Jacksonville. Michael was a devout Catholic and lifelong member of the Diocese of St. Augustine. He enjoyed his grand and great-grand children, traveling, sports, woodworking, and his yard. He is going to be dearly missed, but we take comfort in knowing that he is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The family will receive family and friends at St. Matthews Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022, with Rosary at 9:30, Mass at 10:00, and reception to follow. Burial will follow at 1:00 in Jax Memorial Gardens. In leu of flowers, contributions can be made in honor of Michael Werner to the Women’s Help Center of Jacksonville.
