Mary E. Fournier Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mary E. Fournier, 79, died peacefully at home January 8, 2021. She was born January 22, 1941 in Buxton, Maine, the daughter of Randolph and Bernice Harmon. After graduating high school, Mary moved to Connecticut where she met and married Richard Fournier. The couple settled in Springfield, Massachusetts where they bought a house and started a family. They celebrated 52 years of marriage last May. Mary was a faithful member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church until her health prevented her from physically attending. Even after that she maintained contact with her friends and family with phone calls and Facebook. Mary was deeply devoted to her family and was well loved by all. She will be dearly missed by all the lives that she touched in her time here on earth. Her family asks everyone to remember her care and concern for others and the wonderful ways she impacted lives around her. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved grandson, Jacob Leavitt. Surviving her, in addition to her husband, Richard, are daughters Diane Fournier (Jacksonville, FL) and Jenny Leavitt (Sanford, FL), along with son-in-law Myron Leavitt (Sanford, FL), grandson Caleb Leavitt (Jacksonville, FL); and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family members who loved her. A celebration of life remembrance will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32208. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Internment will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32218 and is open to all who wish to attend.
