Kimberly Sue Snyder

April 22, 1965 - March 9, 2022

A much-loved daughter and sister, Kimberly Sue Snyder, passed away at her home peacefully March 9, 2022. She was born April 22, 1965, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She graduated from Terry Parker High School in 1983 and received her bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville University in 1987 where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. Kim had a life-long passion for politics and assisted with several political campaigns. She was a staff member for Congressman Craig James in Washington, D.C. Kim took a job with Keep Nassau Beautiful and then landed in Tallahassee where she worked with Keep Florida Beautiful. She moved back to Jacksonville to be close to her family and worked for her dad as an office assistant until his retirement. Kim was very involved in the Arlington Optimist Club for many years where she volunteered her time and energy to serve our community. She is survived by her three sisters Laura (Snyder) Saffy and husband Randy, Julie (Snyder) Sedgwick and husband Aaron, and Amy (Snyder) Rentschler; nieces and nephews Michael Saffy, Samantha (Saffy) Sieburg (Ryan), Brandon Rentschler, Chas Rentschler, Morgan Sedgwick, Ashton Rentschler, Parker Sedgwick and Conner Rentschler; and great nephew Waylon Sieburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Suzi Snyder. There will be a Celebration of Life for family members only. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Optimist International Foundation.
