Kaleb Charles Ossi
April 4, 1998 - January 29, 2022
Kaleb Charles Ossi was born April 4, 1998 in Jacksonville. He died in a car accident on Saturday January 29th, 2022. Kaleb attended San Jose Catholic School in Jacksonville and South Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte, NC. He worked for Tri County Electrical Contractors. Kaleb enjoyed his job and working with his co-worker Daniel. After work Kaleb and his friends liked to hang out in the garage, work on their trucks, ice skate and bowl. But fishing was his passion. Kaleb loved grilling with his mom and playing with their dog Daisy Mae. As an only child Kaleb had a strong commitment to his family, especially his cousins. He loved all his extended family but was extremely loving and protective of his mother and grandmother. He enjoyed teasing them and making them laugh with his easygoing sense of humor. No matter the circumstances, Kaleb was quick with a smile, a silly joke if needed and consideration for all. Kaleb was a kind, compassionate person who made friends easily and was fiercely loyal to them. He made friends for life and in return they cared for him. His many friends included his best buddies, Ian, Tyler, Joey, Raven, Keelan and Thomas. Kaleb is survived by his parents, Christina Ossi and Kevin Varnes; maternal grandmother Sandra Ossi; paternal grandparents Carl and Nita Varnes; maternal aunts and uncles, Gregory and Amy Ossi and cousins Gabriel, Lexi, and Carver, Jonathon Ossi and cousins Elizabeth and Katherine, Madeleine and Rob Speir and cousins Wil, Nate and Jud; paternal aunt and uncle, Allan and Joni Varnes and cousins Rachael, Kyle and Rebecca. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 26, at 11:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Kaleb’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place in Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org.
