JoAnn Turner Hartley

November 7, 1946 - May 2, 2022

JoAnn Turner Hartley, 75, was born on November 7, 1946 to John and Bertie Bell (Smith) Turner in Fitzgerald, Georgia. She was a die hard Bulldog fan!! Saying goodbye to a wonderful woman, wife, sister, mother, and most importantly - Nana - her favorite Job Ever!! JoAnn is survived by her husband, Victor; brother, Pete; sons, Richard (Debbie), John, Tommy; daughters, Tonya (Scott) and Kimberly. She is also survived by her grandkids, Tiffany (Cliff), Brittney (Caleb), Jesse (Macie), Andrew, Chris, Shannon, Katlyn, Breanna, Xavier, Carter, Jeremiah, Shawn (Hailey), John-John (Jessica), Kayla and Thomas (Miranda); as well as nine Great Grand Kids. She lived a very happy full and wonderful life. JoAnn didn't let being put in a wheel chair in her 30's slow her down. She was amazing. JoAnn drove, cooked, tended her house, raised kids, fished, joined a bowling league, worked as a Sunday School teacher (her favorite thing until she became Nana). She was a great ceramic painter, all around craft and home made items guru. If shopping was a sport she was a Gold Medalist. She cheered her kids and grandkids from the side lines of so many sports and activities - all from her chair. JoAnn had it rough these last years with illness, medical issues and medications that wouldn't allow her to be the amazing woman she truly was. But, no worries about that now. She is back to her Best Self and at home. JoAnn was generous, loving, comforting, funny, always smiling. She always wanted to please everyone. She was happy, inspiring, courageous and not afraid to do anything. Some of her favorite things were card and board games, westerns, Gospel music, animals, especially her little dogs, (seeing the love between his baby Darlin and her Silver Fox was literally awe inspiring) her family, and the Georgia Bulldogs. But nothing more than her soulmate, the love of her life (and she his) Victor. A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2022 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32218.
