Gloria McDonald McCart

October 22, 1936 - November 1, 2021

Gloria McCart passed away peacefully on November 1, 2021. Gloria lived in Jacksonville with her husband of 65 years, Robert McCart. Born in Rockmart, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late John W McDonald and Lois Odelle McDonald. She is preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Jean. Gloria and Robert were married in 1955 and moved to Jacksonville in 1959. Gloria spent her life caring for her husband, children, pets and their home. Gloria loved to cook, draw and paint. Those that knew her knew she would tell it like it is, with no filter. Gloria had a zest for life and sense of humor like no other. In addition to caring for her family, Gloria still found time to play professional baseball, skate in the roller derby, fly airplanes and meet Elvis Presley. Gloria was also the best storyteller and could always make you laugh. Gloria is survived by her loving husband, Robert, her younger sister, Johnnie Faye (Ed), her daughters Jeannie and Robin (Mike), her granddaughters, Jennifer (Matthew), Lindsey, Amy and Katie and her great granddaughter, Savannah and her loyal pup, Pee-Wee and many loving family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday November 5, 2021 at 11:00AM at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home: 940 Cesery Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32211. Family will welcome friends and family starting at 10:00 AM.
