Franklin Delano Ford of Annapolis, Maryland, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2022 in Jacksonville, Florida. Frank was born in Annapolis, MD on March 31, 1933 and is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Ford, father, Kennith Ford, mother Cecelia Laumann, and sister Betty Keener. He is survived by his sister Pat Collins, two daughters Lisa Boyles and Lori McDonald, four grandchildren, Sabrina (Michael) Browning, Jennifer (Daniel) Guthrie, Kyle (Rachel) McDonald, and Mackenzie McDonald, six great-grandchildren, as well as multiple nieces and nephews. Frank served his country as a United States Marine, where he was an airplane mechanic, and was honorably discharged after 5 years of service. He then went on to work for BellSouth until he retired. Frank was a man of many talents and was good with his hands. Anything from building the family television from scratch to building furniture. His true love was working with wood and his workshop. Frank was known as a Gentle Giant and a Man of Few Words. He had a kind spirit, a great provider, a family man and had a passion for helping those in need. He touched the hearts of many and will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff, nurses and doctors at Baptist South Jacksonville, Florida for their support and doing all they could to make him comfortable in his final days. Jacksonville, Florida 32218. (Lane 3) Please note: No flowers allowed at the cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow the committal service at the American Legion Post 283, 9459 Fort Caroline Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32225
