Evelyn L. Stauts- Age 95, Born to Elsie and Richard Haupt on November 30, 1926 in Charleston, W. Virginia. She moved to a New Jersey farm at the age of 6. Survived by daughter Evelyn Tessler, Son-In-Law, Michael, Granddaughter Jillian. Preceded in death by her parents and husband Charles, great grandson – Cameron, Sister Florence, and Niece Lynda. She graduated Cooper Nursing School in 1948 as a RN, where she enjoyed working in the premature nursery. Then she met the love of her life, Charlie, but waiting until graduation to marry. After they married they traveled together to many Navy duty stations. They then settles in his home town of Mantua, New Jersey. While he enjoyed hunting and fishing, she started to travel overseas where she visited 29 countries, many more than once. Evelyn loved her weekly pinochle games at the VFW and when visiting Florida, she looked forward to bunko with her daughter and friends. She was very proud to be a 70 year member of the Easter Star and a past President of the Fleet Reserve Auxiliary. She never complained about anything and always saw the best in everyone. She was referred to by many loving names, such as: mom, grandma, god mother, gran, crash, GG, senior, and Gee. With the loss of Charlie early in her life she remained a widow and focused on family and friends with unconditional love. She will be missed by all the lives she touched.
