Elizabeth Prentice Fugate
March 29, 1952 - October 1, 2021
Elizabeth Fugate was born to the parents of Prentice & Lealia Williams on March 29, 1952. She attended and graduated from the Detroit Public School system. She went on to begin a lifelong career with the CSX Railroad. Her career relocated her from Detroit to Chicago and ultimately to Jacksonville, FL where she became an entrepreneur. She was not on this journey alone. She had an encounter with Jesus Christ and He saved her life. Although she was a very private person, the light of Christ was bright within her. She exposed that light to all the people she knew and those that she met along the way. Her entrepreneurship lead her on a journey to serve a multitude of people. Those people are the ones who are here today to express their love for her. We also acknowledge those who love here but were not able to attend. Although her journey was not always an easy one, she always persevered without complaining and with a smile. She will be missed but her memories will forever be embedded in our hearts forever. We love her but God loves her more. She is survived by her only son, Andrew & his wife Angie, three granddaughters: Destiny, Rihanna and Alahiah, two sisters and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
